Our work depends on a Senior Shipboard IT Technician to support the Military Sealift Command (MSC) contract in Chesapeake, VA.HOW OUR SENIOR SHIPBOARD IT TECHNICIAN WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Responsible for direct technical work on projects and installations onboard.

Works independently and installs, operates, maintains, configures, troubleshoots, and repairs IT systems devices, cables, components, software, and end-user devices, components, software and connectivity.

Assists in the development of project plans.

Coordinates with the contractor's C4S Lead and Government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters.

Travels locally and CONUS/OCONUS to perform break/fix and upgrades.

Afloat Classified Global Operating System Version 2 (ACG-V2)

Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM)

Next Generation Wideband (NGW)

Shipboard Management Information System – Unclassified (SMIS-U)

Afloat Release 1 (AR1)

Afloat Release 2 (AR2)

PC to PC Transfer System (PPTS)

Common PC Operating Environment (COMPOSE)

Automated Digital Network System (ADNS)

Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange System (CENTRIX)

Global Command and Control System – Maritime (GCCS-M)

Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)

Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES)

Host Based Security System (HBSS)

Commercial Broadband Satellite Program (CBSP)

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED (Required):

Security Clearance Level: Active Secret clearance (Interim Secret acceptable)

Required Experience: 7+ years of experience with Windows systems administration, software and hardware troubleshooting and end-user support and familiarity with the systems above.

Experience leading teams

Required Certifications: Security + CE certification; Windows OS certification

Education: High School diploma

Location: Onsite in Norfolk, VA.

Travel requirement: Ability and willingness to travel 50 - 70%.

US Citizenship Required.

#tidewaterITThe likely hourly rate for this position is between $29.11 - $38.70. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
